|
|
Hi there!
I started with a Saab Sonnett in 1980, then had the perfect Saab 900 that unfortunately got wrecked after many years of a love affair.
Anyway, I have a 1990 Saab 900 Convertible Turbo that I bought a couple of years ago and know very little about.
I got some new tires a few months ago and the next day one of the hub caps fell off. I was able to retrieve it but could not find the bolt.
I took it back to the place that sold me the tires and the guy asked to keep the hub to find a bolt for it. I went back a couple weeks later and the place was closed down, cleaned out and I have tried, I will never get that center cap back. I have been told the wheels are Enkei but I have tried every parts site I can find plus have a search on Ebay and cannot find this center cap. I am heartbroken!
Can someone help me identify it? It has Japan on the back and I have searched and there are no numbers on the hub or the aluminum wheel.
Thanks, Kelli

Sounds like a Saab-forum can't be of much help. Enkei-rims have never been delivered as standard, as far as I know.
But I'll send you an email in case noone else can upload for you. I'll get to it within 24hours or so _________________ 99T16 - project

There was a certain Enkei wheel that was popular on Classic 900s a while ago. They had a kind of double spoke with a slight curve, much like the 19" Hirsch wheels today.
I only have one picture of them and they're on a VW Golf of all things. Were these them?
... either way, I'm not at all sure we can be of much help here on that matter, but do stick around for other Classic 900 chat.
With regard to your wheel problem, pop over to http://www.wheel-whores.com/forum/ who may well be able to help you track down what you need. |

I have a thing for twirly wheels
Compare those to Hirsch, today:
... but the ultimate for me would be these guys on the Rick Repko SAAB 900:

Shame they're not both pointing the same way for the first picture. |

Sorry Kelli, I'd totally forgotten what I promised you. But here goes:
(All I can tell you is that these wheels are no standard Saab wheels)
(By the way, has anyone else noticed for a while that this subforum is called "Techinical" instead of what I guess is supposed to be "technical"? ) _________________ 99T16 - project

So one extra letter, noone notices. Funny thing, that brain-thingie..
On-topic.. IF those are Enkei, wheels, maybe they can dig up model, if you send them pics.. |
