Well, it's another one Razz

this time a bit of a project but it is definitey a very special 900.

It is one of the very first S models ever made of the 900 Turbo. The owners club don't know of any others on a B reg, so it's likely this was used by Saab as a demonstration car when it was new.

AS you can see it will need some work doing to it. We picked it up this morning - here are the pics.

First sight in the flesh

Put some fuel into it and connected up the Booster pack

Started and ran fine:

Driving

Loaded onto the truck

All strapped and fasened down

Home, safe and sound

Battery on change

Well, that was today's SAABing and that takes it to a grand total of 6 Saab 900's Shocked

Oh, and we are picking up another turbo from the same guy tomorrow - this one has been tweaked and apparrently is mega quick Very Happy

nice find!

Not quite the earliest though. You could get them on an A reg plate - the first run was from early '84 before saab adopted the griffin logo. They had the early engine block with the starter under the exhaust manifold. Not likely to find one now though....From what i remember they had quite minimal badging on the back just SAAB and TURBO

I actually owned an early B reg T16 (non S) 4 door for a while...

Thanks! I didn't think they did A plate one - the club only knows of this B plate car but i bet there is another out there lurking in a shed or something like that!
