Update!

Was in the garage yesterday and worked on the car. Started to put new plate near the rear right wheelhouse and also cleaned up a lot in the rear left wheelhouse. Test mounted a new part also ;)

My left z-beam was in bad condition so i will most likely use the one from the red car (which we throw away at the recycle center in two pieces on Tuesday, hehe)

/Henrik

Some Updates! I didnt think that many read it, but seems like i have over 1400 views Smile

This is how bad the trunk is on the car:
.

I changed my mind quite a few time, but now i finally decided to fix the hole with this piece i got from a friends 900i MY92:

Also took care of the whole in the rear wheelhouse:

I finally got back the beam i left for the a company to take care of. I can say that this piece will never be rusty again, hehe Smile

I had the car outside for a while to remove some rust with the blast-machine:

Also bought some NOS parts:

- Aerospoilers for the front
- Winddeflector for sunroof
- Oilfilter (old style, not sold anymore)
- Sealing strip for the trunk.

Im not particular big fan of the winddeflector, but might use it since it was used in the 80-ies. What do you think? And actually its rather good against the sun!

All for now Smile

//Henrik

I read it - I love the updates. This truly is a superb project and while I don't have a lot to say in response to the pictures, I do enjoy them.

Yepp, i bought a blue(?) one Smile The louvre is too much 80-ies for me Very Happy Or actually, i like them better on the 99/900 sedans..

I said it before but.. Your car is so good looking orca Smile White aeros was never sold in Sweden (but i know yours is no aero), but they are really a nice color combo with the aero plastic.

Yeah, my white car has had an interesting past Very Happy

I think any external accessories work if they work together with other styling accessories. I have seen a louvre on a black car and it looks fantastic! I think it works well because he has black wheels as well.

So, the roof hatch deflector? Yeah, I like them. They came in grey, green and blue as far as I know. The only problem I have is that the rubber has shrunk over time and isn't quite long enough to meet the ends of the deflector.

Louvres are really a '70s thing. I think I get away with them on the white car because of the the good black/white contrast.
