Guys - Show me your spoilers!

I would like to write a page on the (soon to be put back online) Special Editions website about spoilers. I need pictures that you are happy for me to use online - if you can source them from friends, please get their permission and let me know their names if they'd like to be credited.

What spoilers did SAAB use on the Classic 900?

Early wrap-around design
Standard "Ducktail"
Whaletail
Bridge spoiler ... on 2/4 door
Convertible style pre-1991?
Convertible style (full wrap-around)
Two, if not three styles for the 2/4 door that sit on the edge of the boot
... more?

Schüssler
Heuschmid
... others?

This car belongs to a friend of mine, and you have permission to use it! Smile
As you probably know, this is the Saab 900 (2 and 4-door) brigdespoiler.

Very rare in scandinavia! (But seems to be more common in the UK, that's were the spoiler came from ;) ) And by the way it's not really a 900i.

And here is one of the standard duck-tail as you say Smile

I know the owner of this one too, and you can use this too. (I've taken both these photos)

Buy the way Orca : Do you need permission from every car's owner, or just the one who took the photo? I've got some pictures from the Saab festival in sweden 2007 that might be of interest to you, but I don't know the owner of the car(s).

Some different pictures of the big "Aero Spoiler" or whatever its called. Its rather rare today, it was not standard on Swedish Aeros until the later years, and as those cars were too very rare few made it out on factory-cars, but more were sold separately. Feel free to use these pictures, they are all from my TurboS 1992. The black is rubber and gets rather dull after some years. This spoiler was not designed for swedish all year driving.

Intellectual property rights are a funny topic - I have said that I have generally not had any problems with gaining permission from people or addressing the fact that I may have used a picture without permission. Maybe just make sure there are no corporate logos in the background Wink

So long as you took the pictures and give your permission, that should be fine. Of course if the owner of the car in question asks me to remove the picture, I will ... without hesitation.

Here's a couple of examples of the early wraparound spoiler:

http://www.pjgh.co.uk/gallery_albums/c900se/09_Wraparound_Spoiler.jpg

... maybe someone has a good picture of one of these to share?

I scanned this one out of the accessories brochure:

http://www.pjgh.co.uk/gallery_albums/c900se/SAAB_Spoilers_Scan.jpg

... which shows off these two sedan spoilers:

http://www.pjgh.co.uk/gallery_albums/c900se/03_Sedan_Spoiler_Shape_3.jpg

... but I have a picture of this one, too ... I'm not sure if it a real SAAB spoiler:

http://www.pjgh.co.uk/gallery_albums/c900se/01_Sedan_Spoiler_Shape_1.jpg

Again, if someone has a good picture of these styles to share I'd be very grateful Cool

Last one somehow reminds me old Audi 80 (B2)..

If you find anything from here feel free to use them. I took those at Trollhättan during Saabfestival 2007.

Not much, but at least there's one wide wing:

couple of short cabrio wings shoudl be also visible..

The Schüssler-spoiler compared to some original "whaletails"

I've also got some photos of a few airflow-cars with the original badge, and a photo of the rear decor panel for the sedan(!) if you need it Smile

Yes, it's the same car ;) I took that photo at the Saabfestival outside the SDCC-outlet.

You can see more of it here
