Hey , what I do appreciate here is the part of dream .I mean we do come here for talking about the soul and the spirit of the 900 without talking about the mechanical or technical aspect .
Mechanic is of course and unfortunately important but personnaly I hate that and don't understand anything about it .I even don't want to know it .I know that a lots of people are passionned by mechanic so people like me are necessary for them to give them material to think about , and during that time I can get a beer or a coffee and say to myself : "My Saab is fantastic , gorgeous , a chef-d'oeuvre" .
What is your position with mechanic ?

To be perfectly honest, SAAB Central, SAAB Scene and our national SAAB forums (like Forum du SSC, saabforum.nl, UK SAABs, etc) already have very good mechanical forums. Most of 900 Aero's technical focus is on the APC box, also.
I am keen not to spread technical knowledge of the classic 900 around too many forums and I have no pretentions that this forum will take on the likes of SAAB Central or SAAB Scene.
The focus of this forum is, yes, about every aspect of the classic 900 with specific leaning towards its Special Editions. If it transpires that there is a need to discuss certain mechanical aspects of Special Editions, then I will certainly start up a mechanical section.
For instance, one thing baffling me is ... the Finlandia/CD models are about a foot longer than their 5/4 door counterparts - do SAAB have a longer exhaust for this car? That kind of thing could well end up in such a forum.
Let's see where it goes ... your comment has certainly been taken on board. |
