Gathering som more stuff - another Nardi to be more precise. A job on the Eastcoast took me past Södertälje, close to Stockholm, and I picked up another steeringwheel, this time with the softpadding as an extra feature. It doesnt look nice, but is cool and super-rare, and is ofcourse in prime condition. Here goes:

Gave the MonteCarlo som light as well, its longing to get out of the garage. But as Im writing this Friday night snow is falling in Gothenburg.
Also a pic of the Nardi fitted.

Also got hold of two doors for the Grey Aero, will fit them eventually, not on top of my list right now.

Ooh! Soft padding - that's an unusual addition. Very swish Cool
You could totally disguise the wheel with one of those leather padding covers for the circular part.

Turbocab - Would you mind if I put the pictures of the steering wheel and the spoke cover on my 'blog? Here: ttp://c900se.wordpress.com/2007/10/23/swedish-saab-original-tillbehor-steering-wheels/

I'll happily link to your website or project webpage ... or even just to this thread. Let me know Wink

Sure, no problems! Dont have a homepage, but feel free to link to the project-page.

I have just this weekend fitted a "shotgun" exhaust on my 1988 Aero, pictures coming....

Thank you ... done:
http://c900se.wordpress.com/2007/10/23/swedish-saab-original-tillbehor-steering-wheels/

I really need to get a "shotgun" sorted out for our convertible. I have some wheels to refurbish for it, too, but that can wait until I need new tyres Wink

So, the classic exhaust normally called "Shotgun" in Sweden is fitted. This one is from "Simons", its not Saab original which is simply very difficult to come by these days... But the sound is awesome, 2,5" all the way, and the classic 900 Turbo-sound comes to life even better!

That's very cool! I have had a quick look through the Jetex catalogue and they make a twin exhaust end to fit to 2.5" and 3" exhausts. I have the 3" JT on my white car and the cabriolet has the SAAB standard exhaust.

There's a guy who posts here every now and again called Steve Lewis who makes up batches of these periodically:

I hope to get one of these next time he commissions a set from his fabricator - it fits directly to the SAAB standard system, replacing the very rear section.

I think the neatness of the two pipes and the rolled end really makes this a quality item.

Nice to see som Saab-enthusiasts in Norway too! But you are Swedish? At least you wright very swedish in the "Garaget" homepage. Im actually planning to visit Norway this summer (again) but have not decided on which car to bring.... The view of the MonteCarlo at Geiranger Fjord would be simply awesome.... But putting on 2500 kms or so of mileage is less interesting, and in potentially desastrous wheather too.... Rolling Eyes

The Exhaust shown looks nice too. By the looks of it the pipes will be pointing straight back too, not like mine with a 10 degree or so angle to the left. Dont know what looks better. Hope you can get one fitted Orca!

Still waiting for Spring here. Its still cold.... Longing for some pictures of the Airflow Aero parked along with the Monte. But dont give up folks, spring is coming! Will spend all weekend outside Gibraltar, in the Anchorage area at sea, hope for some spring down there.

Speaking of 'Shotgun' exhausts, here's a good shot of Topponaut's prototype convertible:

No I'm not swedish, only norwegian Very Happy

The reason I write in swedish at garaget is that I think that swedish is the proper Saab-language ;) I'm trying to learn correct swedish spelling and phrases, but I guess it takes some time. But I'm only learning through reading STCS and Garaget so it's an interesting experiment!

Ok, the season is started. Posting som pics of whats going on right now. Fitted som new carpets in the MonteCarlo, Nardi in the Aero etc. Enjoy!

MonteCarlo is fitted with a Saab original wind-deflector, softtype. Not 100% sure how its fitted, but think I got it right mostly. Its a bit weird behind the front seats however. I think something is wrong, but will test a bit mor. Is it nice looking? No, not really.

Nardiwheel, with soft pillow, ugly:

And without, not so ugly:

Cruising around:

And the Carpets, from Swedish Saabparts dealer "Speedparts".

And Im thinking to put on 15" Saab 9000 alloys instead, I just love these alloys. What do you think? 16" Aero is a "must have"?

Will cruise around this weekend, and post some more pics.....

Nice pictures Cool
The soft cover for the rear seats is very cool! I want one Very Happy I've not seen one with the sides fitted before - just the cover itself.

Turbocab, your yellow MC is one of the most beautiful SAABs ever.
I was just thinking that those 16" Aero-alloys are just the "right stuff" for that fantastic car of yours.
Then I read about the 15"...Shocked

Please keep the 16". They makes a beautiful car look even better. Very Happy
But then again, the choise is yours.

I´m longing for that day I get to see the car live.
