We have two 99T in our club:
On the CombiCoupe there is only one not original part, the front grill (It came from on other model year). Every other thing is as came from the factory. Very rare thing:

And one American version two door. It is not an "original" one, but looks very good. I like it very much 8-)

The 900 next to the 99T is owned by my syster ;)

Nice pics.
Looks like the red one got a aftermarket sunroof made of glass. If it´s so the car is rare. In those days you had to order the car without sunroof. They had sunroof as standardspecification. Most of the cars had original sunroof when they were sold.
I guess the car is from/(was aimed for) the States cause it has the electric-mirrors.

The sedanversion of 99 turbo was never sold/exported to America, just Europe.
But it was a nice replica though, I like the Heuschmitwheels/rims Very Happy

Huh. You know much more about this cars than us 8-)
And you are right: there is an aftermarket sunroof on the red unfortunately. But fortunately the owner have got an untached roof for it (with headliner offcourse :-), so this small problem will be repaired during the restauration in the next years. The biggest problem is the front grill. We were not able to find a correct one :-(

The two door: yes it is a LEGO car (but original turbo :o)

I know, those frontgrills are hard to find. Sometimes you find them and the original grillturbo-label at the swedish "bidsite" www.tradera.se

About the sunroof, I was not complaining at all. It´s a "child of the time". In the early 80th it was a common thing. I think it works fine, but if they want to rebuilt the car to original standard I think it´s great. You don´t find 99 turbo -78 without original sunroof very often nowadays.
Waiting to see more pics in the future Very Happy

Those lower silverlists on the two door are rare and hard to find. Tell them to take good care of the car, looks really nice.

DaVinz.

You made a great job with your carminred 99 turbo -80, I´m impressed. Shocked

It´s hard to think that you made this without repainting the car.
But you did repaint the bumpers, did you?
Is it a 4 or 5 gearmodel? (registypapers, sim-code = 4 gear/ sis-code= 5 gear)
Does it have the original gearbox (kokillversion)?

I want to se the car live when you´re finnished with the engine.
Howabout visit Sweden in summertime in the future?
I know a lot of people who would like to see that car at SAAB-meetings.
I myself would like to see that car at our 99/900 B-engine/c900 convertible meeting this summer in Norrköping, Sweden.

Keep up the good work! Very Happy

thanks Topponaut !

Give the car a good wash, many times and it looks like this.
It is a 5 gear, thank god, drives a lot better i think.

I've put on better bumpers, and they look great, but still space for improvement.

I'd love to go to sweden, it's a pitty it wasn't finisched when the 99T meeting was in sweden, last year. But when he is ready, i'll defenitly let you know when i'm off to sweden Cool

The meeting I´m writing about is the "follow up"-meeting from the last 99T-meeting last summer.
I guess you have 4 months to get your 99 ready for "take off".

See ya next summer!

Hello 99t people!

This seems like a nice site!
Since this is a major site for the beloved OG900
I wonder if we might could continue more topics concerning 99t on:

http://www.saab99turbo.com/

The discussion-board "over there" is quite un-used so
I think we and Mr Kurt Hoffman (the creator) would visit
more often if things start to happen there?!

Just an reflection....

The effort that has gone into that 99 website is quite special - it would be good to support him, so you 99 owners please do sign up and get yourselves posting over there, too.

While this is a forum dedicated to the Classic 900, we don't mind some talk about other SAABs or even other cars every now and again. Please don't feel that if you can't post about other cars Wink

I love the 99 Turbos - they are sort of "baby" 900's Razz
